Tripura: BSF Seizes Contraband Worth ₹1.4 Crore In Multiple Smuggling Interceptions Along Indo-Bangladesh Border

Border Security Force (BSF) troops in Tripura have successfully intercepted several smuggling attempts along the Indo-Bangladesh border, seizing contraband goods worth over ₹1.4 crore.

On January 1, 2025, a joint operation by BSF, police, and customs officials in the BOP Srinagar area of Udaipur led to the seizure of clothes and cigarettes valued at ₹68,75,000.

In a separate operation on the night of December 30-31, 2024, BSF personnel seized Ganja, sugar, medicine, and other contraband worth ₹18,60,897 after foiling multiple smuggling bids.

These actions highlight the continuous efforts by BSF Tripura to prevent illegal activities and maintain security along the Indo-Bangladesh border.
