Agartala, January 20, 2025: The Tripura Pradesh BJP announced its newly elected district presidents during a press conference held at Pradesh BJP Headquarters in Agartala city on Monday. The list was officially released by the Pradesh BJP In-Charge Dr. Rajdeep Roy, amidst much anticipation from party members and supporters.
Addressing the media, Dr Roy stated, “This marks a new chapter for the BJP in Tripura as we continue to strengthen our organizational structure. The leaders elected today are committed to driving forward the party’s vision and working for the people of their respective districts.”
The announcement included leaders from various districts across the state, with each individual entrusted with significant responsibilities. According to the list, Gaurang Bhowmik has been elected as the President of the Sadar Rural District, while Asim Bhattacharya will lead the Sadar Urban District.
In the Gomati District, the mantle has been handed to Sabita Nath, reflecting the party’s emphasis on empowering women in leadership roles. Binay Debbarma has been selected as the President of the Khowai District.
Further appointments include Biplab Chakraborty as President of Sepahijala District (North) and Uttam Das for Sepahijala District (South). Bimal Kar has been entrusted with the leadership of the Unakoti District, while Kajal Kumar Das will head the North Tripura District.
For the South Tripura District (Pilak), Dipayan Chowdhury has been elected, and Patiram Tripura has been chosen as the President for the Dhalai District.
Dr. Roy highlighted the importance of the newly elected presidents in ensuring grassroots connectivity. “Our focus remains on serving the people and addressing their issues at the district level. These leaders have proven their dedication and will work tirelessly to uphold the values of the BJP,” he added.
The announcement has been met with enthusiasm from party workers, who see this as a move to reinvigorate the BJP’s organizational structure in Tripura.
