Gold Medal Named After Tripura CM Dr. Manik Saha at King George Medical University

Agartala, January 29, 2025: In a prestigious recognition of his contributions, a gold medal has been instituted in the name of Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha at King George Medical University (KGMU), Uttar Pradesh. The medal will be awarded to the postgraduate student securing the highest marks in Maxillofacial Surgery, a field in which Dr. Saha has made significant contributions.

Announcing this honor, KGMU Vice-Chancellor stated, “Dr. Manik Saha’s dedication to the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery has been exemplary. To acknowledge his invaluable contributions, we are proud to introduce this gold medal in his name. It will serve as an inspiration for aspiring surgeons.”

Dr. Saha, before stepping into politics, was a distinguished dental surgeon and professor. His expertise in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery has earned him immense respect in the medical community. The award will be formally inaugurated during the university’s convocation ceremony, where it will be presented to the top-performing postgraduate student in the discipline.

Expressing gratitude, the authorities of KGMU congratulated Dr. Saha for this honor.
