Security forces, in coordination with the Forest Department and SDO/SDM Tousem, conducted a poppy destruction drive at the hill range of Kaimai Kuki village under Kaimai Police Station, Tamenglong District. During the operation, approximately 2 acres of illicit poppy cultivation were destroyed.

Authorities have intensified their crackdown on illegal poppy plantations in the region. Further investigations are underway.
