The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has assured that a comprehensive draft on the proposed Frontier Nagaland Territory (FNT) will be prepared and presented soon. The assurance came during the fourth round of tripartite talks held on Tuesday at the Police Complex in Chumoukedima between the MHA, the Nagaland government, and the Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation (ENPO).
According to a statement issued by the ENPO, several key issues were discussed during the three-hour meeting. It was also decided that a subsequent meeting of the High-Level Committee would be convened to take the discussions forward.
The MHA team was led by Advisor (Northeast) A.K. Mishra, along with Joint Director (IB) Rakesh Kamble and Deputy Director SIB Nagaland Vineet Kumar. The Nagaland delegation was headed by Chief Secretary Sentiyanger Imchen, accompanied by senior officials from various departments. The ENPO team was led by its president, Chingmak Chang.
