Agartala, June 28, 2025: Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal, IPS, Additional Director General (ADG) of the Border Security Force (BSF), Eastern Command, Kolkata has concluded a four-day visit to Tripura accompanied by Ashwani Kumar Sharma, Inspector General (IG), BSF Tripura.
During the visit, the ADG toured Border Out Posts (BOPs) across the districts of West Tripura, Sepahijala, South Tripura, Gomati, and Dhalai. He interacted with BSF jawans and field commanders, reviewed the security situation along the international border, and assessed the operational preparedness of the force.
On June 27, ADG Aggarwal addressed a Sainik Sammelan at BSF Salbagan headquarters, where he commended the tireless efforts and dedication of BSF personnel in maintaining the sanctity of India’s borders in Tripura. He emphasized the importance of good health, physical fitness, and strict discipline for all ranks.
As part of his engagements, the ADG called on Indrasena Reddy Nallu, Governor of Tripura, and Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, Chief Minister. He also held courtesy meetings with Shri J.K. Sinha, IAS, Chief Secretary, Government of Tripura, and Anurag, IPS, Director General of Police, Tripura.
Discussions focused on strengthening operational coordination and addressing administrative challenges for effective border management in the state.
