Agartala, June 24, 2025: Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal, IPS, Additional Director General (ADG) of the Eastern Command, Border Security Force (BSF), arrived in Tripura on Tuesday for a four-day official visit to assess the security and operational readiness along the international border.
Upon arrival at the Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport in Agartala, ADG Aggarwal was received by Ashwani Kumar Sharma, Inspector General (IG), BSF Tripura Frontier. A ceremonial Guard of Honour was presented to the ADG at the BSF Frontier Headquarters.
During the visit, the ADG was briefed by IG Sharma on critical operational issues and strategic priorities concerning the Tripura sector. The discussion included border management, coordination with other security agencies, and recent developments in the region.
As part of his itinerary, ADG Aggarwal visited key border outposts (BOPs), including Bhagalpur and Lankamura, as well as the Integrated Check Post (ICP) at Agartala. He reviewed the operational preparedness of troops deployed in the region and interacted with field commanders and jawans to understand challenges and boost morale.
