Itanagar, May 29: Arunachal Pradesh Agriculture and Allied Minister Gabriel D Wangsu on Thursday launched the ‘Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan’ in Itanagar. The campaign aims to promote modern agricultural practices and ensure farmers across the state benefit from government schemes.
As part of the launch event, the minister flagged off the ‘Krishi Rath’, which will travel to various districts, reaching out to farming communities.
Speaking to the media, Wangsu informed that agricultural scientists from Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) and officials from the agriculture and allied departments will visit remote villages. They will conduct awareness programmes to educate farmers about scientific farming methods and the latest agricultural technologies.
He added that the initiative also seeks to inform farmers about various central and state government schemes available to them. The minister urged farmers to actively participate in the campaign and take full advantage of the support being offered.
The Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan is a nationwide drive aimed at enhancing agricultural productivity, promoting sustainability in farming, and improving the delivery of government support to the grassroots level.
