Arunachal Pradesh athletes delivered an outstanding performance at the 7th National Open Taekwondo Championship, held in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, from January 16 to 20, 2025, securing five medals in total — three gold, one silver, and one bronze.

Badal Das clinched gold in the senior male individual poomsae and also triumphed in the senior mixed pair poomsae event alongside Dorik Gamoh. Dorik, along with Marpi Basar and Ampo Apum, added a third gold in the senior female group poomsae.

In addition, Dorik won a silver medal in the senior female individual poomsae, while Marpi Basar took home a bronze in the same category. This remarkable achievement highlights Arunachal Pradesh’s growing strength in Taekwondo at the national level.
