Itanagar, Nov 1: The Arunachal Pradesh unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday launched campaign materials for the Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan at the party’s state office in Itanagar.
State BJP president Kaling Moyong, who led the launch, emphasized the importance of promoting local products in line with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat. He urged citizens to embrace the spirit of “vocal for local” to prioritise indigenous goods and reduce dependence on external products.
Moyong said the initiative would help strengthen self-sustainability and benefit local producers. He also highlighted state government schemes such as the Atmanirbhar Krishi Yojana and Atmanirbhar Bagwani Yojana, which aim to boost self-reliance in agriculture and horticulture sectors.
The Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan is part of a nationwide campaign encouraging the use of indigenous products and services. As part of the programme, the party plans to organise seminars and workshops to raise awareness and support for local industries.
Namsai MLA Zingnu Namchoom, state BJP vice president Ashok Sangchoju, state general secretaries Tadar Niglar and Junty Singpho, and secretary Taring Tiri were also present at the launch event.
