Arunachal Chief Secretary Reviews Land Acquisition For Strategic Infrastructure Projects

The Chief Secretary of Arunachal Pradesh chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the progress of land acquisition for key strategic and infrastructure projects across the state. The meeting focused on initiatives such as the Frontier Highways, Hydro Power Projects, roads constructed by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) and the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL), railway expansion, Indo-Myanmar Border Fencing and Approach Roads, and the establishment of Border Outposts (BoPs) for the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).

Emphasis was laid on expediting execution, resolving on-ground challenges, and enhancing coordination among all implementing agencies. These projects are seen as critical for boosting connectivity, strengthening border infrastructure, and promoting inclusive development in the state’s frontier regions.

A time-bound action plan was outlined to facilitate timely implementation and compensation disbursal. The review meeting was attended by all key stakeholders, including the concerned Deputy Commissioners who participated virtually.
