Itanagar, Nov 20: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Thursday praised the Students’ Experience in Inter-State Living (SEIL) programme, describing it as a significant initiative for promoting national integration and fostering cultural understanding among students.

Khandu recalled that the programme, introduced by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) in the mid-1960s, gained a stronger foothold in Arunachal Pradesh through the efforts of former Governor P. B. Acharya. In a post on X, he noted that Acharya’s contributions played an important role in expanding SEIL activities in the state.

According to the Chief Minister, inter-state exchange programmes like SEIL help nurture young minds, promote cultural exchange, and build long-term bonds among participants from different parts of the country.

Extending his best wishes to the participants, Khandu reaffirmed the state government’s support for initiatives that encourage youth engagement, cultural exposure, and national harmony. The SEIL programme continues to bring students from across India to various states, with Arunachal Pradesh serving as one of its key destinations.
