Gangtok, Nov 14: The Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Pema Khandu, arrived at Burtuk Helipad to participate in the 13th International Tourism Mart (ITM), being held at Pangthang, Sikkim.
Accompanying him were V Vidyavathi, Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, and Ajeet Bajaj, President of the Association of Adventure Tour Operators of India.
Upon arrival, they were received by Tshering Thendup Bhutia, Minister, Tourism and Civil Aviation and Commerce and Industries Department, Government of Sikkim, along with PD Sona, Minister of Tourism, Government of Arunachal Pradesh. Several senior officials from the Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh tourism departments, including Neeraj Pradhan, Binod Sharma, Praneet Pradhan, Bhawesh Khyalia, Gopal Pathak, and Saurav Baraily, were also present.
The ITM serves as a platform for states to showcase their tourism potential, review regional initiatives, and engage with industry stakeholders. The programme features meetings, presentations, and discussions aimed at strengthening tourism links across the region.
The event is organised jointly by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, and the Tourism and Civil Aviation Department, Government of Sikkim.
