Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has expressed serious concern over delays and poor execution on the Itanagar-Banderdewa section of NH-415, citing difficulties faced by residents, particularly during the monsoon season.
During a review meeting on Friday, Khandu instructed officials to take immediate corrective measures to ensure that the 11.5-km stretch becomes safe, fully trafficable, and ready for uninterrupted vehicular movement before the end of winter.
“This vital road in the state capital must now progress with urgency, accountability, and a people-first approach. Lapses in execution will no longer be tolerated,” Khandu posted on X.
The Itanagar-Banderdewa stretch is a key route connecting the state capital to the rest of India via Assam. It plays a significant role in supporting essential supplies, emergency services, defence logistics, trade, tourism, and administrative movement in the region.
