Gangtok, Nov 15: Arunachal Chief Minister Pema Khandu met Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang at his official residence on Saturday, following recent health concerns of the Sikkim leader. Tamang conveyed his gratitude for Khandu’s visit, describing it as a thoughtful gesture of support.
Khandu, who was in Gangtok to attend the 13th International Tourism Mart (ITM) for the Northeast region, took time to call on Tamang and extend his best wishes. Tamang acknowledged the visit as a reflection of the cordial friendship between the two leaders.
Khandu also shared his appreciation for the International Tourism Mart, noting its role in promoting tourism across the Northeast. He expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality extended by the people of Sikkim.
Both leaders discussed development priorities for their states and the wider Northeast. The meeting highlighted their shared focus on strengthening cooperation with the Centre to support regional growth.
