Itanagar, Nov 12: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu attended the Bharat Parv event in Kevadia, Gujarat, on Wednesday to mark the 150th birth anniversary of India’s first Home Minister, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The event is part of nationwide celebrations honoring Patel’s role in unifying the country.
Khandu, who traveled with Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, described the event under the theme “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” as a moment of national pride. Bharat Parv, held at Ekta Nagar from November 1 to 15, coincides with the birth anniversary of freedom fighter Bhagwan Birsa Munda.
The Chief Minister called the occasion a tribute to the “Iron Man of India,” highlighting Sardar Patel’s enduring vision for national unity. The event features cultural performances, exhibitions, and discussions aimed at promoting harmony among states and communities, reflecting Patel’s message of unity in diversity.
The celebrations reinforce India’s commitment to collective unity and diversity while honoring Patel’s contribution to nation-building and inspiring future generations.
