Arunachal CM Pema Khandu Pays Tribute To Atal Bihari Vajpayee On Good Governance Day

Itanagar, Dec 25: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu paid tributes to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his birth anniversary, observed as Good Governance Day, recalling his role in shaping India’s governance framework.

In a post on X, Khandu referred to Vajpayee’s commitment to democratic values and governance principles, stating that the occasion serves as a reminder to uphold transparency, accountability and people-centric administration.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee was born on December 25, 1924, in Gwalior and served as India’s Prime Minister for three terms between 1996 and 2004. He passed away in New Delhi on August 16, 2018. His birth anniversary is observed annually as Good Governance Day.

Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein also paid tribute to Vajpayee, referring to his leadership and policy approach. Mein said Vajpayee’s governance legacy and emphasis on national unity continue to be remembered, adding that his contributions remain a reference point for public service and administration.
