Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen KT Parnaik (Retd.) interacted with 100 “Lakhpati Didis” from 22 districts at Raj Bhavan in Itanagar on Friday, commending the role of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in reshaping the state’s rural economy.
Calling SHGs a “revolution” in Arunachal, the Governor said they are bringing about positive changes in the rural social and economic landscape. He referred to the Lakhpati Didis as the “pillars of a Viksit Arunachal” and urged them to lead with innovation, establish marketing hubs, mentor others, and promote local products globally.
A total of 69 SHGs from across the state shared their experiences, success stories, and challenges with the Governor during the interactive session.
