Itanagar, May 20: Governor KT Parnaik (Retd.) presented the ‘Land of the Rising Sun’ plaque to Dr Krishna Chowlu at Raj Bhavan in recognition of her significant contribution to orchid research in the state.

Dr Chowlu, a scientist at the Botanical Survey of India (BSI), Arunachal Pradesh Regional Centre, was honoured for discovering and documenting unique orchid species found in the region.
