Itanagar, May 26: The Government of Arunachal Pradesh signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth Rs 6,357 crore with 16 investors during the Rising Northeast Investors Summit 2025 held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on May 23 and 24.
According to the official statement, the MoUs were signed by the Secretary of Planning and Investment, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, and representatives of various companies to attract investments in key sectors including biofuel, healthcare, education, tourism, IT, renewable energy, and agriculture.
Major agreements include a Rs 2,324 crore investment by Agri-Biofuel Global Ltd. for converting agri-waste into aviation and maritime fuel. Developer Group India Pvt. Ltd. signed multiple MoUs—Rs 1,760 crore for afforestation and carbon credit monetization, Rs 570 crore for Beema Bamboo Plantation for biofuel, and Rs 55 crore for trial Moso Bamboo plantation.
Inlamobi Pvt. Ltd. committed Rs 1,000 crore for establishing a European Blue Valley Fragrances & Flavours unit and an Ayush Cluster. The Medhavi Group signed an MoU worth Rs 178 crore to set up a Skill, Innovation & Tribal Entrepreneurship University at Ziro, which is expected to create over 430 direct jobs.
Farm Native Group proposed a Rs 150 crore investment for a 250-bed Super Speciality Hospital, projected to generate between 900 and 1,100 direct jobs and 1,000 to 1,500 indirect jobs. Other MoUs include Rs 150 crore by Zedsoftpoint in IT and data centres and Rs 100 crore by Vishwakarma & Co. to develop a tourism-based hotel in Ziro.
Additional agreements were signed in sectors such as bamboo processing, herbal and turmeric product development, and promotion of spiritual and heritage tourism.
Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, who is also the Minister-in-Charge of Planning and Investment, witnessed the signings. He stated that the MoUs reflect growing investor confidence in Arunachal Pradesh and will significantly contribute to inclusive and sustainable development in the region.
