Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Thursday said that Arunachal Pradesh is transitioning from being a producer state to an export-oriented economy, leveraging its natural resources, unique agro-climatic advantages, and traditional craftsmanship.

Speaking at the inauguration of a two-day Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet (RBSM) in Itanagar, Khandu said the event aims to connect farmers, artisans, and entrepreneurs with both domestic and international markets. The meet is organised by the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in collaboration with the state Department of Trade and Commerce.

The RBSM brings together producers, exporters, investors, and buyers from across India and abroad to explore trade and investment opportunities in the state. Highlighting key developments over the past decade, Khandu said improved road, rail, air, and digital connectivity have opened new avenues for export.

He also mentioned that the state’s Industrial Development and Investment Policy, 2025, seeks to promote sustainable industrial growth through skill development, entrepreneurship, and investment facilitation. The policy provides transport and interest subsidies, as well as insurance incentives for resource-based industries.

Khandu further said that the government is enhancing the ease of doing business by simplifying MSME registration and strengthening credit and marketing support through District Industries Centres (DICs).

“Sustainable trade and investment are not just about profit; they are about people, progress, and partnership,” the chief minister said, urging participants to build collaborations that would integrate Arunachal Pradesh into global value chains.
