Naharlagun Police arrested four accused in connection with the theft of brand-new laptops from the IT Cell of TRIHMS, following an FIR lodged on 3 November 2025. Acting swiftly, a team led by Inspr. Krishnendu Dev, OC PS Naharlagun, and supervised by Rishi Longdo, SDPO Naharlagun, recovered 20 stolen laptops along with other accessories within 24 hours.

The police team included SI Niri Rama (IO of the case), SI Vivek Linggi, HC K. Samyor, HC A. Poyom, Ct. Sanu Raj, Ct. D. Borah, and Ct. T. Dawa. According to officials, the investigation is continuing to trace additional recoveries and determine the involvement of others.

Meanwhile, Dr. Nyelam Nega, Superintendent of Police, ICR Naharlagun, urged residents to install functional security cameras and remain vigilant to help prevent such incidents.
