Itanagar, Jun 7: Namsai Fresh Cow Ghee, a natural dairy product sourced from the hills of Namsai district in Arunachal Pradesh, has gained national recognition under NITI Aayog’s Aspirational Districts and Blocks Programme. This initiative, part of the Vocal for Local campaign, promotes traditional and local products from aspirational districts across India.

Produced by Namsai Dairy Ltd., a Dairy Farmers Producer Organization (FPO) comprising 120 members, Namsai Fresh Cow Ghee and other dairy products like milk, dahi, paneer, cream, and sweets reflect the pristine quality and heritage of Arunachal Pradesh. The ghee is made from “Desi” cattle raised on natural open grazing pastures within community forests, ensuring sustainability and authenticity in dairy farming.

Crafted from pure cream without any preservatives or additives, the ghee is produced at the Mini Dairy Plant established in 2022–23 in Deobeel village, Namsai district. This initiative supports local farmers and contributes to the growth of the rural economy.

Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein expressed his appreciation on the official Facebook page, stating, “Delighted to see Namsai Fresh Cow Ghee gaining national recognition under NITI Aayog’s Aspirational Districts Programme. A proud testament to the dedication of our dairy farmers and the purity of Arunachal’s traditions.”

He added, “Kudos to Namsai Dairy Ltd. for championing sustainable, local enterprise. Let’s continue to support and celebrate our local treasures.”

  • Ghee should be made from butter by churning curds not from cream.

Warms one’s heart to see one’s fellow-countrymens’ sincere efforts draw national attention, by meeting Niti Aayog’s exacting standards vis-a-vis product quality, hygiene , production standards, etc., opening up huge marketing opportunities in the mainland market. If product quality is maintained and pricing is alluringly attractive to attract potential customers, Namsai milk producers association could be laughing all the way to the bank, most definitely. Wishing you all the very best, guys!!

Buying Ghee without showing love to Gaumatha is like extracting blood from our own mother and selling.

Pl personally connect with the Cow, Bull near you to get quality Ghee, Milk as she shows love to you.
