Arunachal Pradesh Governor KT Parnaik Meets President Murmu, Discusses Development Initiatives

Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lieutenant General KT Parnaik (Retired) called on President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Friday and discussed key developmental initiatives and progress in the state.

The Governor was accompanied by the First Lady of Arunachal Pradesh, Anagha Parnaik. During the visit, he presented the President with a copy of Orchids of Arunachal Pradesh, a comprehensive book documenting the state’s rich orchid biodiversity, including several rare and endemic species of botanical significance.

According to an official release, the Governor briefed the President on the implementation of the state’s ‘Viksit Arunachal’ roadmap, aimed at contributing to the national goal of ‘Viksit Bharat’. He outlined various initiatives focused on inclusive growth, infrastructure development, and improving public services in remote areas of the state.

He also updated the President on the follow-up actions taken on key resolutions from the last Governors’ Conference, reaffirming Arunachal Pradesh’s commitment to cooperative federalism and national priorities.

The Governor further highlighted Raj Bhavan’s initiatives in promoting public health, with a focus on tuberculosis elimination, as well as efforts towards women’s empowerment, youth engagement, and enhancing healthcare and education across the state
