A total of Rs 48.80 lakh was disbursed to 14 agri startups in Arunachal Pradesh during an Agri Startup Grant Disbursement Ceremony held on Tuesday at the College of Horticulture and Forestry, Pasighat. The event was organized by the RKVY-RAFTAAR Agribusiness Incubator (CHF R-ABI), with the aim of fostering agricultural innovation and entrepreneurship in the Northeast region.

The ceremony was chaired by Dr. Anupam Mishra, Vice Chancellor of Central Agricultural University, Imphal, and attended by Tayi Taggu, Deputy Commissioner of East Siang, Pasighat, and Prof. B.N. The RKVY-RAFTAAR Agribusiness Incubator, led by Dr. Anil Kumar and supported by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, is designed to provide financial assistance and mentorship to emerging agri-businesses. Startups such as Esem Organic LLP, Maiyon Agro LLP, and Siang Beverages Pvt. Ltd. were among the recipients.

The event also included an awareness program, which attracted over 80 participants, including farmers, academics, and local youth. This initiative is part of the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana-Remunerative Approaches for Agriculture and Allied Sector Rejuvenation (RKVY-RAFTAAR), a central government program aimed at enhancing agricultural infrastructure and promoting agri-business ventures across India.
