Arunachal Pradesh Shines Bright: Bags Top Awards in Governance, Innovation, And Health

Arunachal Pradesh has emerged as a leading performer in governance, innovation, and community development, winning several prestigious national awards, Chief Minister Pema Khandu announced on Tuesday.

Sharing the achievements on X, Khandu said the recognitions reflect the state’s steady progress under transparent and citizen-focused governance. “Each recognition is a reflection of our shared dedication towards building a progressive and inclusive Arunachal,” he stated, acknowledging the contributions of both citizens and government officials.

Arunachal Pradesh was ranked the “Most Improved State in Governance” in a national survey and received three awards under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) for outstanding implementation of the housing programme. The state also earned the status of ‘Top Performer’ in the Start-up Ranking 2022 by the DPIIT and recognition for excellence in the Investment Pillar of the India Innovation Index 2021.

In digital and environmental innovation, the state’s eForest Fire App was honoured at the 23rd National Conference on e-Governance. Additionally, Tawang and East Kameng districts received top accolades in the ‘Azadi@75 Swachh Survekshan 2022’ for exemplary cleanliness initiatives.

Arunachal also featured as an Achiever in the LEADS-2024 report and won the Best Community Engagement Award from the National Health Mission for its work under the Adolescent Health and Wellness Days programme.

Khandu said the state will continue to build on this momentum under the ‘PEMA 3.0 – Year of Reforms & Growth’ mission, focusing on technology-driven services, sustainable reforms, and inclusive development to strengthen Arunachal’s national standing.
