Itanagar, Aug 8: The State Cabinet has approved and officially launched the Arunachal Pradesh State Youth Policy 2025, a comprehensive and action-oriented framework designed to empower the youth, promote inclusive development, and preserve the state’s cultural heritage.
The policy defines nine Youth Development Goals (YDGs): quality and holistic education, sustainable employment and entrepreneurship, skills and innovation hubs, healthy lifestyle and well-being, promotion of sports and adventure, platforms for creative and cultural expression, preservation of culture and biodiversity, youth leadership and civic engagement, and the creation of a safe, just, and inclusive society.
With a strong focus on integrating modern skills with traditional values, the policy emphasises equal opportunities for rural and urban youth, the promotion of sports and adventure tourism, and collaboration among government agencies, NGOs, and local communities.
According to the government, the launch of this policy marks a significant shift in youth empowerment strategy, aiming to equip every young person in Arunachal Pradesh with the tools to learn, lead, and contribute actively to state and national development.
