Members of RGU Students’ Union has allegedly vandalized the chamber of the university’s Vice-Chancellor (VC) – Prof Saket Kushwaha, over delay in re-implementation of the “hostel prefect system”.

Addressing the mediapersons, the Senior Security Officer of RGU – Badal Techi informed that the incident took place at around 11 AM on Monday, when the union’s executive members had come to meet the VC to seek introduction of prefect system.

“The file process for the prefect system was underway,” – informed Techi.

However, no First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged so far, in connection with the incident.

Sources informed that the New RGU Students’ Union team have been demanding for the re-implementation of the hostel Prefect system, since a long time.
