Itanagar, September 13: Arunachal Chief Minister Pema Khandu has stated that the Vibrant Village Programme and initiatives like Operation Sadbhavna and Project Samaritan have led to significant growth in connectivity and essential services in border districts and remote regions of Arunachal Pradesh.

Khandu emphasized the state’s commitment to both national security and rural development through synchronized planning between defence forces, central armed police forces, and state representatives.

The state government is building 1,022 km of roads to connect 124 habitations and developing sustainable tourism in partnership with the Indian Army, ensuring border communities are secure and thriving.

Khandu addressed a conclave on border area development, highlighting the importance of enhancing development in border regions and Arunachal Pradesh’s critical role in national security and development.

The Chief Minister stressed the tourism potential of Arunachal Pradesh, emphasizing the need for collaborative efforts to develop the rural economy and ensure local communities benefit from tourism growth.

The conclave was attended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, and other dignitaries, aiming to foster collaboration and unlock the full potential of India’s border regions.
