Itanagar, May 29: The Arunachal Pradesh Armwrestling Team delivered an impressive performance at the 47th National Armwrestling Championship held in Bhopal, finishing as the 1st Runner-Up overall with a total of 89 medals. The medal tally includes 54 Gold, 28 Silver, and 7 Bronze.

Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein congratulated the team through his official social media handle, commending their hard work, talent, and determination.

The women’s team clinched the championship title, while the men’s team secured the 1st Runner-Up position. The state also earned seven ‘Champion of the Champions’ titles, marking a historic achievement for Arunachal.

Mein also praised the efforts of the management, support staff, and athletes for making the state proud on the national stage.
