A coordination meeting was held under the chairmanship of Sangey Norbu, AC I/c Deputy Commissioner, Tawang, to finalize preparations for the Har Ghar Tiranga (HGT) campaign in Tawang District. The meeting aimed to encourage widespread participation from all sections of society in line with the Government of India’s directives.
The campaign will be conducted in three phases:
Phase I: August 2 to August 8, 2025
Phase II: August 9 to August 12, 2025
Culmination Phase: August 13 to August 15, 2025
Several activities have been planned to promote patriotism and engage youth, including letter writing to soldiers by students, Tiranga art decorations on school walls, exhibitions on the HGT initiative, quiz competitions, postcard writing themed on the national flag, Tiranga rangoli and rakhi making competitions, and a Janbhagidari Yatra under the HGT banner.
Hridhar Phuntsok, Deputy Director of School Education (DDSE), instructed school principals to actively involve students and incorporate these activities into academic schedules during the campaign.
Sonam Tsering, Nodal Officer of HGT and District Art and Culture Officer, appealed to government departments, educational institutions, civil society, and citizens to participate unitedly. Citizens have also been encouraged to upload selfies with the Tiranga on the official HGT website as a symbol of national pride.
The campaign seeks to foster respect for the national flag while promoting unity, patriotism, and active civic participation across the district.
