A joint coordination meeting was held at the Conference Hall of the Tawang Brigade on 16 July 2025 to discuss preparations for the upcoming Tawang International Marathon 2025, scheduled to take place on 24 October 2025. The meeting brought together key stakeholders, including the District Administration, the Indian Army’s Tawang Brigade, and event partner Cyruns, who participated virtually.

The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Namgyal Angmo, IAS, and Brigadier Bhupal Singh, SM, of the Tawang Brigade. The session began with a detailed presentation by brigade officers reviewing the successful execution of last year’s marathon and outlining the roadmap for the 2025 edition.

Cyruns provided updates on their ongoing efforts, including the organization of promotional runs in multiple cities across India to build awareness and engagement for the main event. Emphasis was placed on ensuring a smooth, secure, and well-organized experience for participants and visitors.
Key resolutions from the meeting included a strong push for enhanced promotional campaigns through both online and offline channels. The organizers also committed to making the event more environmentally friendly by banning pet water bottles for participants and minimizing single-use plastic in publicity materials.
Speaking at the meeting, DC Namgyal Angmo said, “Tawang International Marathon is a celebration of our region’s culture and natural beauty. With better coordination and sustainable practices, we aim to make this year’s event even more impactful.”
Brigadier Bhupal Singh added, “The Indian Army is proud to support this initiative. Through joint efforts, we will ensure an inspiring and safe marathon experience that reflects the warmth and spirit of Tawang.”
The meeting concluded with a decision to conduct follow-up sessions in the coming weeks to monitor progress and ensure smooth execution of the event.
