Itanagar, Dec 10: The 4th edition of the Eaglenest Bird Festival is scheduled to take place from January 17-19, 2025, at Khellong (Doimara) and Thongre village in Arunachal Pradesh. The announcement was made during the grand finale of the 4th Mon Sergyeling & Mon Rigzung Sergyeling festival in Tawang, where the festival’s new logo was also unveiled.
This year’s festival will spotlight the region’s rich biodiversity while promoting sustainable eco-tourism and community-driven conservation efforts. Notable highlights include the declaration of the “Trail of His Holiness the Dalai Lama,” a culturally significant route, and the opening of the Eco Bio-Diversity Park at Atho-Nyo (Doimara Khellong), which features a tree planted by His Holiness during his historic 1959 visit.
In addition, the festival will feature a Birdathon and adventure trekking events, allowing participants to explore the scenic beauty of the Eaglenest Wildlife Sanctuary and raise awareness about environmental conservation and eco-tourism in Arunachal Pradesh.
