Itanagar, Sep 4: Arunachal Pradesh will host the ‘North East Region Ministers’ Conference on Civil Aviation – cum – 3rd North East Aviation Summit’ in Itanagar on Thursday. The summit will bring together civil aviation ministers of all northeastern states, along with policymakers and industry leaders, to discuss strategies for strengthening regional connectivity and enhancing aviation opportunities in the region.
Union Minister of Civil Aviation Rammohan Naidu Kinjarapu and Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol will attend the event. Key discussions are expected to focus on expansion of existing and new airports, promotion of helicopter services, small aircraft, general aviation, seaplanes, drones, and maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) activities.
The summit is being jointly organised by the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), with support from the government of Arunachal Pradesh. This marks the first time Arunachal Pradesh is hosting the summit, which was earlier held in Assam and Meghalaya.
