Arunachal: Spear Corps GoC Reviews Operational Preparedness Ahead Of Tri-Services Drill

Itanagar, Nov 5: Spear Corps Commander Lt Gen Abhijit S Pendharkar on Tuesday visited forward areas in Arunachal Pradesh to review operational preparedness and assess the progress of Operation Chaukas along India’s eastern frontier, the Army said.

The inspection comes as the armed forces prepare for Exercise Poorvi Prachand Prahar, a large-scale tri-service manoeuvre aimed at showcasing integrated combat operations and joint capabilities in the Eastern Himalayas.

According to Defence spokesperson Lt Col Mahendra Rawat, the upcoming exercise will strengthen coordination between the Army, Navy, and Air Force, with a focus on enhancing multi-domain synergy and mission readiness in the region.

During the visit, Lt Gen Pendharkar interacted with personnel deployed in high-altitude areas and commended their professionalism, dedication, and resilience in safeguarding the nation’s borders. He also emphasized continued focus on training, interoperability, and joint operations to maintain a high level of combat readiness along sensitive sectors.

The Army said the visit reaffirmed Spear Corps’ commitment to operational excellence and joint preparedness to ensure robust border security in the eastern sector.
