The northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh has witnessed a significant decline in single-day COVID-19 infections, as the state has registered nine fresh new cases – the lowest in over a month’s time.
The 9 fresh new cases has pushed the tally of confirmed cases to 66,205. The death toll remained unchanged at 296, as no new fatalities were reported in the past 24 hours.
Arunachal Pradesh remained COVID-19 free for the last couple of months. But, it has been witnessing a surge in fresh infections since July 1; informed the State Surveillance Officer – Dr Lobsang Jampa.
Among the new cases, 4 were detected in Leparada, three from Itanagar Capital Complex (ICC) and one each from Dibang Valley and Tawang.
It currently have 322 active cases. While, 35 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, pushing the total number of recoveries to 65,587.
Nearly 108 samples were tested for COVID-19 during the last 24 hours, which pushed the cumulative figure to 12,85,366.
