CBI Arrests Arunachal Assistant Professor In Bribery Case Linked To Purchase Scam

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested an assistant professor from the College of Agriculture in Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh, in connection with a bribery case related to inflated procurement of plastic buckets.

The accused, identified as Pavan Kumar Gaudar, is alleged to have approved the purchase of 30 plastic buckets at an inflated rate of ₹2,500 each. The CBI has also booked Anand Kumar Dwivedi, proprietor of local supplier Matrix Solutions, for his suspected involvement in the case.

Officials stated that the arrests followed an investigation that uncovered irregularities in the procurement process, suggesting possible misuse of public funds and corruption in institutional purchases.
