Itanagar, Dec 12: Chief Minister Pema Khandu inaugurated the Arunachal Vikash Parishad Bhawan (Abo Tani Balwadi-cum-Multipurpose Activities Centre) in Itanagar on December 12, 2024. The newly constructed facility is set to serve as a hub for the promotion and preservation of the indigenous culture, traditions, and values of Arunachal Pradesh. It will host cultural events, educational programs, and community-building activities, aimed at strengthening the state’s rich cultural heritage.
In his address, CM Khandu highlighted the significance of protecting the diverse religious and cultural traditions of India, including Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Jainism, and indigenous beliefs. He stressed, “It is our collective responsibility, regardless of the religion we follow, to protect and uphold the sacred traditions that have emerged from our land.”
The inauguration ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Minister Kento Jini, Advisor to Akhil Bharatiya Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram Somayajulu, Arunachal Vikash Parishad Founder Member Tai Tagak, AVP President Techi Gubin, and AVP General Secretary Gomar Angu. CM Khandu also expressed his gratitude to all those who contributed to the successful completion of the project.
