Itanagar, Apr 16: Arunachal Pradesh Governor KT Parnaik has stated that eviction is the only solution to address the growing issue of encroachments in reserve forest areas, rejecting compensation as an alternative.

During a meeting to review the state government’s forest conservation initiatives, Parnaik urged officials to act with greater seriousness and efficiency in enforcing policies. He emphasized the need for “visible and decisive corrective action” to protect the state’s valuable forest resources.

Reiterating that Arunachal Pradesh is a “green state,” the Governor stressed the importance of safeguarding its forests for future generations.
