Itanagar, Jun 12: Arunachal Pradesh Governor KT Parnaik has commended Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu for their proactive initiatives in resolving the long-standing inter-state border dispute.
Parnaik made the remarks during a meeting with Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya at Raj Bhavan in Guwahati. He stated that the ongoing dialogue between the two states has significantly strengthened harmony and goodwill among people sharing close cultural and social bonds.
The Governor also stressed the need for continued vigilance against illegal immigration and urged effective administrative action to curb such activities.
