Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen (Retd) K.T. Parnaik on Tuesday emphasized that true and sustainable development can only be achieved when women are placed at the center of growth strategies.
During a discussion with State Women and Child Development Minister Dasanglu Pul at Raj Bhavan, the Governor focused on women’s empowerment, childcare initiatives, promotion of women-led entrepreneurship, and the progress of the Vibrant Village Programme (VVP).
Parnaik stressed the importance of enabling women to move beyond traditional roles and become entrepreneurs and leaders. He also pointed to skill development, market access, and promotion of local products under the Vocal for Local campaign as key steps to enhance women’s participation in the economy.
