The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast moderate to heavy rainfall across several northeastern states on Tuesday. The states expected to receive significant showers include Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.

In addition, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are likely in parts of Sikkim and adjoining areas. The IMD has advised residents and local authorities to stay alert, particularly in areas prone to landslides and waterlogging.
