IMD Predicts Heavy Rainfall In Northeast States

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places in parts of the Northeast, including Nagaland, Manipur, and Assam on Monday.

The weather agency also stated that these states, along with others such as Bihar, Madhya Maharashtra, and Gujarat, are likely to witness intense rainfall activity due to the advancing southwest monsoon.

According to the IMD, light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds is expected to continue over parts of the region till June 26.

The monsoon has further progressed into most parts of Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, some areas of Punjab, and the entire Union Territory of Ladakh.
