IMD Predicts Heavy Rainfall In Northeast States

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places across several states on Thursday, with a significant focus on the Northeast region. Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura are among the states expected to experience intense rainfall.

The IMD further stated that light to moderate rainfall, along with thunderstorms and lightning, is likely to affect the eastern, central, northeastern, and northwestern parts of the country over the next six days. Similar weather conditions are also expected over Kerala, Mahe, Lakshadweep, Karnataka, and Telangana.

In Delhi, very light to light rain with thunderstorms and lightning has been predicted for Thursday.
