Itanagar, Jun 10: Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs, Kiren Rijiju, disbursed compensation cheques to families affected by the Frontier Highway project at Nafra in Bichom District. The event witnessed the presence of local officials and dignitaries.
The compensation marks a key step in the ongoing land acquisition process for the 1,800-kilometre Frontier Highway, a major infrastructure initiative aimed at enhancing connectivity and development in Arunachal Pradesh’s remote and border areas.
Sharing the update on his official X handle, Rijiju said, “At Nafra, Bichom District, disbursed compensation cheques to land owners of the Frontier Highway in Arunachal Pradesh.” He added that the smiles and handshakes reflected public faith in the government’s vision for the region.
