Continuous heavy rainfall has triggered flash floods and landslides across Arunachal Pradesh, affecting over 33,000 people in 24 districts, officials said on Thursday.

The State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC) reported 12 deaths linked to flood and landslide incidents this monsoon season, with search efforts ongoing for one missing person.

A total of 214 villages have been impacted by the floods and landslides. Despite swollen rivers and tributaries, water levels remain below normal flood levels, the SEOC added.
