Seven Bills, Including GST Amendment, Introduced In Arunachal Pradesh Assembly

Itanagar, Mar 6: The Arunachal Pradesh Assembly on Friday introduced seven bills covering fire safety, education, taxation, fiscal management, and administrative matters.

Home Minister Mama Natung tabled the Arunachal Pradesh Fire and Emergency Services Bill, aimed at strengthening fire and emergency services and enhancing fire prevention and safety measures across the state.

Education Minister Pasang Dorjee Sona presented the Arunachal Pradesh Transfer and Posting of Employees of Education Department (Regulation and Management) Bill, which provides a legal framework for managing transfers and postings of teaching and non-teaching staff.

Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, in charge of Finance, Planning, and Investment, introduced the Arunachal Pradesh Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill to update the state GST Act, 2017. He also tabled the Arunachal Pradesh Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (Amendment) Bill, revising the 2006 Act.

Panchayati Raj Minister Ojing Tasing presented the Arunachal Pradesh Local Authorities (Prohibition of Defection) (Amendment) Bill, amending the 2003 Act.

Urban Affairs Minister Balo Raja tabled the Arunachal Pradesh Urban and Country Planning (Amendment) Bill, and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pasang Dorjee Sona introduced the Arunachal Pradesh Salaries, Allowances and Pension of Members of Legislative Assembly (Amendment) Bill. Both bills propose updates to existing laws.
