Itanagar, Nov 15: Arunachal Pradesh’s Yajik Hillang secured the Silver Medal in the Women’s Swimsuit Physique (up to 165 cm) category at the 16th World Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Championships 2025 held in Indonesia, becoming the first woman from the state to achieve this international milestone.

Earlier this year, Hillang achieved a historic feat at the 15th South Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championships 2025 in Thimphu, Bhutan, winning a Gold Medal in the Women’s Model Physique (up to 155 cm) category and a Silver Medal in another category. The championship was conducted from June 11 to 15.

Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein congratulated Hillang, praising her dedication and discipline, which bring pride to the state, and wished her continued success in her sporting career.
