Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath Likely to Visit Tripura on August 27

Agartala, August 05, 2024: The Shanti Kali Temple at Tripura’s Barkathal village under the Mohanpur sub-division in West district will be inaugurated by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on August 27 next. This announcement was made by former Member of Parliament Rebati Tripura following a review meeting chaired by Padma Shri awardee and Tripura’s spiritual leader Chittaranjan Maharaj on Sunday.

Speaking with reporters, Rebati Tripura detailed the meeting held at the Barkathal Shanti Kali Temple. “Today, we convened at the newly constructed temple to finalize the preparations for its inauguration on August 27. The review meeting, chaired by Chittaranjan Maharaj, was attended by Tribal Welfare Minister Bikash Debbarma, Transport and Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury and myself. We also discussed the arrangements for the arrival of the Chief Ministers of Assam and Uttar Pradesh, alongside Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha,” he stated.

Rebati Tripura highlighted the significance of the visit, noting that during the Ram Mandir consecration, Chittaranjan Maharaj had extended an invitation to the UP Chief Minister. “Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma has already confirmed his attendance. We are awaiting confirmation from UP CM Yogi Adityanath, but we are optimistic about his visit,” he added.
