Assam Rifles and BVG India Ltd signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on July 7, 2025, at the Directorate General of Assam Rifles, LOAR, in New Delhi. The agreement aims to enhance skilling, healthcare, and promote self-reliance across the Northeastern region.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, Director General of Assam Rifles, along with senior officials and representatives from BVG India Ltd.
As part of the collaboration, BVG India will set up Skill Development and Training Centres in selected Northeastern states to provide structured learning and employment-oriented programs for the youth and dependents of Assam Rifles personnel. The initiative is also aligned with the national objective of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
In addition to skill development, BVG India’s Agriculture Division will promote organic and herbal farming practices to support sustainable rural livelihoods. Assam Rifles will facilitate the implementation of these initiatives across the region.
